In the production of plastic products, the quality control of finished products is the last process and an indispensable link. After a plastic product leaves the production facility, it goes through a series of tests before it can be labeled as a qualified product.
For example, our hollow plastic bottle needs to be tested by a leak tester by blowing air to detect whether there is a small hole that causes liquid leakage in the future; by weighing to check whether the weight is within the allowable tolerance range. So how to check the surface defects? For example, there are black spots on the surface, burrs, flashes, and defects... The traditional inspection method is to inspect manually, and arrange different numbers of workers to be distributed on the production line or at the end of the production line according to needs, which is time-consuming and laborious; With the continuous improvement of industrial production requirements and the continuous improvement of labor costs, and the continuous advancement of science and technology, visual inspection equipment has been gradually applied to the inspection and control of production products.
To illustrate again with an example:
The bottle below has a few fly-edges on the parting surface. If such a bottle is entered as a non-conforming product in the visual inspection system, it will be identified as a non-conforming point at some point in the conveyor belt and removed.
The working principle of visual inspection is simple, it is a combination of computer programs and cameras to quickly take pictures. Input the content and standard that need to be recognized into the computer, and the camera image recognizes and outputs the result. The higher the accuracy, the higher the required camera resolution, and the higher the cost of visual inspection equipment. The number of cameras is the same as the number of faces to be detected. Normally, 6-8 cameras can meet the inspection needs of customers.
Visual inspection is widely used in injection molding products. For detailed and specific applications, we will continue to explain and discuss in subsequent articles!
